June 6

We have said goodbye to the irises and the lilacs already. The pond is slimed over, which means the water no longer reflects on our ceilings and walls. No wood ducklings this year, either. The woodpeckers visit our suet cakes and I installed a very wobbly bird bath. The garden is full of peas, cilantro, and chives, and the newly-planted arborvitae are somehow still alive.

Bus, bubble, bath, baby, car, caw (i.e., bird), dog, kitty, dada, mama, MA! (i.e., grandma), garbage, milk, & Ira.

🙂
