I am a Minnesota writer and researcher working in the medical devices industry. I earned my PhD in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland – College Park and my BA in Creative Writing and Psychology from Northwestern University. I also have a graduate certificate in statistics (University of Maryland – College Park) and my MS in Communicative Sciences Disorders from University of Wisconsin – Madison.
I like reading, coffee, buying cat art, and playing piano (badly). My son, spouse, and 5 cats also keep me busy. We live just outside the Twin Cities.
Currently, I serve as the Non-Fiction Editor at the Great Lakes Review and provide website support to the League of Minnesota Poets. I previously co-hosted the Blank Verse Reading Series at Northtown Library (Blaine, MN).
